Refurnishing a period residence - Dunston Hall
Historic Dunston Hall in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, which dates back to the 16th century was purchased by its current owners in 2021 with the vision of making it into a unique and luxurious place to have a wedding or special event.
As the hall went through a major refurbishment, the Ellis Willis & Beckett team were approached to advise, source and procure everything from furniture to paintings, ornaments and books. After a consultation with the clients the style, feel and the budget was agreed.
Using our knowledge, contacts and auction rooms around the country we started to source period furniture for the reception rooms and bedrooms. Over the following months everything from a Regency breakfront sideboard, period dressing tables, lighting and bronzes were procured.
The result speaks for self with the rooms carefully choreographed to offer a style and grandeur with a contemporary take.
